Extract the questions and answers already visible on a page, or write them yourself, and get FAQPage JSON-LD with the matching HTML.
Read this before you paste it
Google only allows FAQPage markup for questions and answers that are visible on the page, and since 2023 it shows FAQ rich results only for well-known government and health sites. For everyone else it’s still valid structured data, but don’t expect it to change how you look in Google. No AI engine has said it uses FAQPage to choose what to cite; what helps is the visible Q&A itself.

How this generator works
- From a URL, our server downloads the page once and reads its raw HTML: <details>, <dt>/<dd>, headings ending in a question mark and FAQ accordions from Webflow, Framer and WordPress.
- What a crawler without JavaScript doesn’t see, we don’t see either. That’s on purpose: it’s what the schema has to match.
- Empty and duplicate questions are left out; long or short ones get a warning but stay in.
- Answers go into the schema as plain text, and both the JSON-LD and the HTML are escaped so a question can’t break your page.

Write to usWill FAQ schema get me FAQ rich results in Google?
Probably not. Since August 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results only for well-known, authoritative government and health sites. The markup is still valid and other systems can read it.
Does FAQPage help with ChatGPT or Perplexity?
There’s no public statement that it does. What these engines quote is the visible text, so a clear question with a short, direct answer under it is what matters. The schema just describes it.
Can I mark up questions that aren’t on the page?
No. Google’s guidelines require the questions and answers to be visible to the user on that page. Marking up hidden content can count as spammy structured data.
FAQPage or QAPage?
FAQPage is for questions you answer yourself. If users submit questions and answers (a forum, a community), the right type is QAPage.
